Level 0: Complete Beginner

Who it’s for: Anyone who’s never touched clay. No experience needed.

What’s next: Ready for more? Our 6 and 8-week foundation course takes you to Level 1.

Course Levels:
Our courses are grouped into three levels, so you can see where you are, what to book next & when to TMH as a member!

Level 1: Beginner

Courses at this level:

  • 6 or 8-week foundation courses: Open to complete beginners.

What you’ll leave with: The core skills and techniques for your chosen discipline, plus your first experience of glazing.

What’s next: Take a 12-week course, or keep building your hours toward membership.

Level 2: Confident Beginner / Improver

Courses at this level:

  • 12-week beginners courses. Open to complete beginners. These take you all the way to Level 2.

  • Improvers sessions

  • Specialist masterclasses/ improver weekend intensives

What you’ll leave with: You have a solid grasp of hand-building or throwing, and you’ve glazed your work at least twice.

What’s next: You’re ready to apply for membership (we always recommend practicing outside of your courses to add hours under your belt)
