May Half Term + Summer Holiday Pottery in Brighton
Looking for a creative activity for kids this summer? Join us at The Mud House in Brighton for our popular Kids Mud Club — a fun, hands-on pottery experience designed for ages 6–16.
Each 3-hour session includes a guided handbuilding project followed by time on the potter’s wheel, giving kids the chance to throw, sculpt, and paint their own creations. No experience needed — just come ready to get messy and creative!
Snacks and fruit are provided, and parents or carers are welcome to stay.
Sessions run Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer holidays

All pieces are fired to stoneware temperatures and ready for collection within 5-6 weeks after the workshop. The Mud House will email when they are ready to pick up.

The Mud House are a fantastic way to ignite creativity and ensure a fun-filled celebration! Kids will love getting their hands dirty as they explore the wonderful world of clay. It’s a playful environment where imagination knows no bounds.
We offer workshops at our studio in Brighton or can bring the fun to your home!

With engaging activities designed to inspire, each child will create their own masterpiece, enjoy playful challenges, and learn new skills along the way.
At the end of the party, each child will take home a unique ceramic piece to cherish forever—a true reflection of their creativity!

We’ll get in touch within 48 hours to confirm your chosen date and time.
After your booking is confirmed, we will send you an invoice along with a calendar invitation. We recommend booking at least 3 weeks in advance, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

At The Mud House, we strive to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all our young guests. While our friendly instructors will lead the activities and provide guidance throughout the party, we kindly ask at least one parent or guardian remain present to supervise children during the event. You're welcome to have a go as well!
For children under the age of 8, additional adult assistance is required to ensure a positive experience. This collaborative approach helps us maintain a safe and fun atmosphere while fostering creativity and exploration.

Our workshop includes an introduction sculpting their own creations, and decorating with colourful slips.
After the session, We will glaze and fire each piece, which will be ready for pickup in 5-6 weeks.
*Please note we only allow groups of 5 kids max for wheel throwing*

CAKE! Feel free to bring any snacks and drinks. We have a small kitchenette available, complete with a fridge, crockery, and plates for your convenience.

We will provide all the necessary materials, tools, aprons, and table coverings. We just ask for access to water for filling small buckets and for clean-up purposes.
Please ensure there is adequate workspace for crafting, with a recommended minimum of 80cm per person. Dining tables work perfectly for this!
Also, please note that bookings outside of Brighton & Hove may be subject to additional travel fees.
