Nerikomi & Agateware Workshop (Pattern & Colour in Clay)
Workshop Description
Join us at The Mud House for a full-day workshop exploring pattern and colour in clay, led by our founder Ros.
This session focuses on agateware and marbled clay techniques, where you’ll learn how to combine and layer coloured clays to create beautiful patterns that run all the way through your pieces. From soft, flowing marbling to more structured, layered designs, each piece you make will be completely unique.
We’ll also take inspiration from traditional Nerikomi methods, using simple block and cane techniques to build pattern within the clay itself — all in a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment.
Perfect for those new to ceramics, or anyone looking to move beyond a taster and explore more creative possibilities with clay. No experience required however some hand building/ slab experience would be beneficial.
