Join us for a unique pottery experience with personalized one-on-one instruction. Whether you’re looking to spend quality time with friends or family, or simply want to explore a new creative outlet, our private bookings provide the perfect setting for your pottery journey.

  • Friday- 10am-12pm

    Saturday- 9am-11am

    Sunday 9-11am or 11.30-1.30pm

    *If we can't fit you into The Mud House Studio we can offer a space at our sister studio @ Robertson's Yard (only for 1p or 2p private sessions)

  • Our classes and workshops cater to everyone, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their skills. Don’t worry if you’ve never worked with clay or feel like you lack creativity—our welcoming environment and expert guidance will help you unleash your artistic potential.

  • To book classes and workshops please use our scheduling form below.

    We only open bookings a week prior so we can secure a tutor/materials. If there is a certain time that you would like to book that isn’t available then email us: hello@themudhouse.co.uk

  • All classes are non-refundable. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to change your booking, we kindly request that you provide at least 5 days' notice to reschedule your session.

  • 2-Hour Pottery Wheel Throwing Taster

    This session offers a hands-on introduction to the art of wheel throwing, perfect for beginners. It includes a demonstration by the tutor to showcase techniques, followed by practical practice on the wheel.

    Each participant has their own pottery wheel for the entire session. We can accommodate up to 8 people on the wheel or 20 people handbuilding. For groups of up to 15 on the wheel, please contact us directly via email to book.

    No prior experience is required!

    This course is ideal for those wanting to explore wheel throwing before committing to a full course. By the end, you'll have crafted your own pieces to take home.

    Included in the course:

    • Studio setup & safety briefing

    • Introduction to clay, tools, & equipment

    • Basic throwing techniques

    • Engaging practical on the pottery wheel

    • 15-20 minutes dedicated to cleaning up at the end.

    • Glazing and firing by our team

    Participants can take home up to 2 finished pieces, which will be ready for collection in 5-6 weeks. Plus, enjoy refreshments, including biscuits!
